As Corporate Director for Procurement and Contracting for the Hawaii Health Systems
Corporation (runs 12 State Hospitals)… I had discussed my condition
with several Doctors and got as many different opinions. I then googled the net
and found D. Stanton Schiffer who studied my case very conservatively and called
me one day to say, yes, he could help me. With the minimally invasive CED.
My surgery took place May 2nd 2007. I came from Hawaii after prepping
for about 6 mos for the Cervical Endoscopic Discectemy. (CED), at Cervical
(3-4) my entire experience with Dr. Schiffer, Michael and Prabha were
beyond belief everyone was terrific. The key to going in for this surgery is
to have confidence in your Doctor. and how can anyone not have a secure feeling
when dealing with Dr. Stanton Schiffer and his great staff!!
My surgery took over 2 hours, as we experienced some bleeding problems. That
we had anticipated based on my past history of bleeding.
The end result was mission accomplished and after 3-4 months of some
discomfort.is that by 6 mos. I have a NEW NECK! I can even sit with poor posture
and not have any pain/. Previously for about 9 years I suffered from chronic
neck pain, sitting sleeping, numbness tingling etc. Now all that is gone. I
can't thank Dr. Schiffer enough! He is a national Treasure!!
I can recommend anyone who has any kind of spinal problem to see Dr. Schiffer.
There was no Dr. In Hawaii who could do this minimal invasive surgery...partly
because they are not trained, and of course there is more money in the full
on "get your throat cut for 7 hrs, plates, screws etc....but that’s
another issue...
I'm a new man at age 70, full of energy and happy.
