Dear Dr. Schiffer,
When I first learned that my neck had degenerative disc disease
I did my homework. I had practiced chiropractic for many years
and had seen the degenerating process of acute radiating pain
and neck pain and the results of surgical attempts with laminectomy
and fusion. Although radiating pain was often reduced local neck
pain often got worse. Accelerated degeneration of other joints
often
followed these procedures..
I discovered Dr. Schiffer and cervical endoscopic discectomy and
I had no doubt that this was the procedure that I wanted to try.
This was because the procedure left all the body parts and functions
intact and only tool away the problem spot. I had suffered for
20 years with chronic neck and mid-back pain and daily headaches,
and several years with loss of motion and frequent lightning bolts
of pain. After six months of continuous nerve pain in my left upper
arm and my biceps reflex gone, I underwent the procedure. No pain,
no fear, fast and easy it was over. The arm pain was gone immediately,
my reflex came right back. It did take some months for the neck
pain to resolve, with time my neck
stabilized..
It has been six years since I had endoscopic discectomy and my
neck has full range of motion, no lightning bolts, only occasional
pain and infrequent headaches. I have such great confidence in
Dr. Schiffer that I am pursuing Microdiscectomy and thermal annuloplasty
of my degenerated lumbar discs.
Again I thank you for your pioneering skills with needless and
lasers..
Sincerely,
 Dr. Marlene Metropolis, D.C.
