I’ve never written a testimonial before but I wanted to send you one
out of gratitude to Dr Schiffer. Please feel free to use it and share my contact
information with anyone considering a procedure with Dr Schiffer.
I was swimming with my daughter when suddenly it felt like a jolt of electricity
had gone down both arms. From then on I had a permanent tingling and
numbess in both arms and legs. The MRI showed a serious disk herniation impinging
on my spine at C5-C6. and my Doctor sent me off to a Neurosurgeon who told
me I needed the disk removed and the bones fused. I wasn’t so sure I
wanted fusion so I asked my Doctor for another referral. The second Neurosurgeons
just confirmed that I needed fusion, and should have it performed quickly to
avoid possible permanent damage to the spine. I have to admit the ideas of
fusion scared me so I immediately began reseaching for less invasive procedures
and came across Dr Schiffer’s website . I sent off my MRI data
and Dr Schiffer called me about 2 days later. We discussed my symptoms and
he told me I was possibly a candidate for a CED procedure but he wanted more
tests done to confirm ( CT scan, X-Ray ). This made me feel more comfortable,
although it’s hard not to feel comfortable with Dr Schiffer after you
have spoken with him. Luckily the results showed that I could have the
CED performed and I was scheduled for December 4th.
I flew out to California and met with Dr Schiffer on the 3rd December. My
wife couldn’t travel out with me so Dr Schiffer made a point of calling
her while I was in his office to discuss the procedure and to answer any concerns
she may have. The surgery was exactly as described on his website and I immediately
felt relief from my symptoms.
I was up and about within an hour and was actually out buying a sandwich within
a couple of hours of the procedure. I was given a prescription for pain killers
and muscle relaxants, neither of which I needed. I flew back east the next
day on my own without a problem. When I visited my Doctor the week after
the surgery he was amazed when I showed him the incision. He said he does more
damage shaving. My wife was also amazed. I think she was sceptical before I
flew out, but she is now as much an advocate of Dr Schiffer as I am.
It's been two months now and I have had only minor discomfort between the shoulders
and upper back. My symptoms of numbness and tingling almost all disappeared.
I cannot thank Dr Schiffer and his wonderful staff enough. I would not hesitate
to recommend Dr.Schiffer to anyone. I am also amazed that CED procedures are
not more commonly practiced.
