I am so pleased with the results of the surgery; it is truly like a miracle.
The pain and weakness in my legs and the ability to walk are pretty much back
to normal. My low back still becomes painful after I have been on my feet for
a couple of hours. Soon after I get off of my feet though, the pain is relieved.
The tens unit also helps with the muscle spasms. My back does not tolerate
as much as I would like for it yet , but I am trying to be patient. I realize
it has not been quite two months yet and my recovery time for the back will
most likely be three to four months since three levels were done. You have
certainly been right on target with all of your predictions thus far. I am
still only
able to stay at work about two to three hours per day and then I have to go
home. It is too hard on my back to stand too long, and very hard not to be
on your feet while you are in the office. I am so much better than what I was
when I arrived in California that I sure cannot complain. At that point, I
had begun to think my ability to live a normal life might not ever be mine
again. I am so very grateful that I found your web site enabling me to get
the education, which allowed me to avoid having fusions. You have done an
excellent job on your web site. It is very informative and well organized making
it easy for people to understand and get information relative to their situation.
The response back from you and your staff is also very timely. I just cannot
applaud you and your staff enough. We appreciate all the assistance we received
during our visit to California. The
surgery center you use is also wonderful. You just have everything organized.
I still have people raising their eyebrows when I tell them that I went to
California for back surgery rather than having it in Dallas or Fort Worth.
I hope more physicians will get the training you have and will make decisions
for their patient’s benefit
as you do.
